Our scholarships are designed for families who demonstrate financial need and a genuine commitment to using NEP's programs and tools to support their student's college journey.

Financial Need
Families who demonstrate that the cost of NEP programs would present a genuine financial hardship. We evaluate this holistically — not just by income thresholds.
🎓
Student Enrollment
The student must be currently enrolled, accepted, or actively preparing to enroll at a college or university — with a particular focus on students navigating predominantly white institutions.

Scholarship recipients are expected to actively engage with NEP programs, tools, and resources — not just receive aid, but participate in building their own pathway to success.

FAALL — Financial Aid Award Letter Literacy
Our flagship e-course that teaches Black families to decode, compare, and negotiate financial aid award letters with confidence. Scholarships are specifically available to ensure every family can access FAALL regardless of cost.
Pre-Enrollment Support
Pre-Enrollment Arc Services
One-on-one consultation to evaluate financial fit, academic fit, social fit, and cultural fit across all colleges under consideration — delivered before the May 1st National Decision Deadline.
Transition Support
Sankofa Fellowship Participation
Access to the Sankofa Fellowship — the 6-week church-based college transition program providing lineage-based identity grounding, major alignment, and university adaptability skills.
Ongoing Support
Retention & Persistence Arc
Counseling, mentorship, academic guidance, and access to all NEP online tools and resources throughout the student's college journey.
